Visitors who've been to this site before will recognise that it's altered. This is because it's time for its swansong.
Cheadle-Staffordshire.Org.UK was created and went live in mid 2000 at a time when websites were only just beginning to be accessible. It's purposes were (1) to inform anyone unfamiliar with the area what Cheadle had to offer if, for example, someone looking for somewhere to live if being relocated to the area for work, and (2) inform locals of some of the many facilities and activities available to become involved with. It was entirely privately funded, rarely updated and occasionally subject to cyber-attacks, but survived in part because there was little else. Time has moved on and there are now other websites able to present a similar, more up-to-date view of the place, so it is now time to say farewell.
Thank You to the many supporters over the years and it merits comment that the most gratifying aspect of its existence has been the ability to connect Cheadle with people who live elsewhere in Britain or across the Globe, reminding them of the place if they have moved away or enabling them to make contact with long lost friends.
